Re: Conflicts of having a server in two games
Almost all of the cheat/build servers on hl2dm are gone or dont have many ppl playing anymore. Ever since that update, people keep on thinking that everything is gone, or nothing works, but thats not the case. So idk, many people who stopped playing will come bac and realize that everything is fine. Although there were a bunch of ppl in there today.
The cheat/build server averages around 100 unique clients per day, and the deathrun server averages around 300 unique clients per day.

Why not change the tf2 server to a CSS server? You would get more players, therefore more donations to pay for any switching costs
There are more than 3x as many players on css lol.

Counter-Strike: Source sucks, tf2 is better 10 times, you just need to change the server from 2fort to something special like mariokart or something cool.[GR]Ryan wrote:Why not change the tf2 server to a CSS server? You would get more players, therefore more donations to pay for any switching costs

The new css isnt that good. but the old one was better than tf2. and now tf2 could pass hl2dm at this rate , because valve rapes everything, they'll rape the whole steam next but tf2 in my opinion isnt really that great , i mean bad animation for fingers , who's fingers are that fucking big? even the hulk's hands aren't bigger than heavy's hands. also the graphics arent as good as the other modern valve source multiplayer games ala Half-Life 2 Deathmatch , Counter-Strike: Source not sure about Day of Defeat: Source. havent played it. But Garry's Mod is ok... not as interested in it anymore though , and you all notice i havent been on hl2dm nearly as much as i used to. But here are the rankings in my opinionSonic wrote:Counter-Strike: Source sucks, tf2 is better 10 times, you just need to change the server from 2fort to something special like mariokart or something cool.[GR]Ryan wrote:Why not change the tf2 server to a CSS server? 1.Old Half-Life 2 Deathmatch
2.Old Counter-Strike: Source
3.Team Fortress 2
4.New Half-Life 2 Deathmatch
5.Garry's Mod (not completely made by valve, they just edited & converted it to steam)
6.New Counter-Strike: Source
But Tf2 isn't a bad game i just don't like it that much.

Thats a thing all old scripters know.ant_8490 wrote:Plz explain: New vs Old HL2:DM.....Nicdel wrote:Good old times1.Old Half-Life 2 Deathmatch

Like the good old wait, simple lua scripting, simple plugin making without valve giving you a VAC ban, old entitys (point_clientcommand, i know its working but to MUCH is blocked), and things like that.
I miss those days, scripting was so easy.
And btw i still don´t know the NEW entitys, are they even there

You want to say that Ant isnt an old scripter?Thats a thing all old scripters know.
Yep, thats a point. The new wait works but the old one was much more comfortable...Like the good old wait
My opinion: Lua suckssimple lua scripting
Still possible, im not VAC-banned yetsimple plugin making without valve giving you a VAC ban
No entities are missing and if you know how, clientcommand works fine with every commandold entitys (point_clientcommand, i know its working but to MUCH is blocked)
Basic scripting is still easy, advanced scripting is more difficultI miss those days, scripting was so easy.
Well, not many. Some new keyvalues and fixed things are more often than new entitiys. And btw i still don´t know the NEW entitys, are they even there
In general, i liked the old Hl2DM more, idk why, so i cant rly explain it
