Spigot (what we use) and Bukkit are the main server .jar files as you know. Everything still currently runs and works, but if this doesnt get settled, there wont be any future updates. I would assume something is going to get agreed upon to allow Bukkit/Spigot to continue, otherwise everyone would have to use the default MC server program.

I dont play MC much, so do any servers actually just use the default server files with no addons or mods? It seems like everyone uses bukkit, spigot, or some other non-default server jar.

Idk what to think of microsoft, though what I fear is that they will start focusing on PC and Xbox over PS3 and other editions ( not that i use pocket edition.) Microsoft has had a "colourfull" past as someone said before me, and I would not be surprised if Microsoft tried to control or in a way "tax" servers who earn big profits, though i doubt that will affect us.

On a side note, when I went back to the normal towny world, I had lost a lot of mty commands, including /back /home and /tpa. Its a pain getting back to my town as its 4000+ blocks away.

Pretty sure more companies are going to buy smaller companies.
