Cubemaps

Post by Peter Brev »

Since SteamPipe, the cubemaps when built are messed up and appears that reflections are messed up (appears purple and black checkeredboard).

Ant has nothing to say but [GR]Ant_8490{A}: lol

(no offence :P)

To fix it, simply set your HDR to bloom scale and it should be good, at least for me it did.

Or turn off HDR.

Don't do mat_specular 0

Yeah we did.

Saying I like making things complicated is truly helping me to figure out the problem :P

Don't take it personally though.

But you seem to not have this kind of problem.

Apparently it's a common problem as said in your lovely Steam chat window with a pro schroomba talking to you.

In the Steam Forums, it's said:

1. Compile.

2. Open pakrat.

3. Remove all default cubemaps.

4.Put all custom content.

5.Open the game.

6.LDR on, buildcubemaps.

7.HDR on, buildcubemaps.

8.Close the game.

9.Send file.

10.Friends testing.

11. WTF ALL REFLECTIONS PINK AND BLACK.

12.Look my screenshots if you don't believe me.

I never had these problems until Steampipe came.

Honestly, I've never removed the default ones, and built only HDR to save up space on already big filesized maps that almost exceed 60mb because of custom content.

Yeah, but if I do, all textures goes white and ugly.
