Question About Mob Spawners

Since we can now pick up monster spawners, do they work as pig spawners when placed? And do they spawn pigs (or monsters)?

you cant pick up monster spawners, that pig spawner at spawn was made by an admin.

I did pick it up with a pickaxe. IDK if it works tho. It probably doesnt work since it didn't spawn pigs or mobs. BTW, I did not hack my way into getting a spawner. :/ IDK how to hack!

Wasnt able to pick up a mob spawner.

could it be a glitch? ill find a dungeon and try it. and btw cosmo mob spawners only spawn mobs when the terrain within their radius meets the mob's spawn conditions [like pigs/other passive mobs only spawning in grass above light level 7, or creepers/other agressive mobs only spawning in areas below light level 7]

Ok. Thx for the help. Also, for proof of the mob spawner, come to my home. I have one.

It was to me. Someone else, either veemon or taco, was able to pick it up and have a pig farm type of thing.
