I agree with smacked, you get a much better gaming performance with Phenom intel is not for gaming but its good for buisness stuff.

Yep you get better fps rates with the phenom that's what i have heard but i would also get a good gfx card that will help alot too.

Either i5 or phenom x4 are fine, i would go for the phenom anyway, but if you like Intel just go for it. Im just saying Phenom is for hard core gaming and Intel is not. Or maybe im wrong... But i dont think so.

TBH I like phenom too but Intel is better for hardcore gaming, although AMD is better for OverClocking. Remember: Intel is better than AMD, but AMD is cheaper

Got the rest of your components yet? I just read on one of your links, the i5 2500+ has a standard speed of 3.3GHz. Any idea what this is overclocked?
I've decided to build a new PC, decided on the X4 970 which has a default speed of 3.4GHz and plenty of room to get past 4 with a £30 cooler.
Oh and please don't lock this Ant, these aren't shitposts.
