Server Upgrade - New Linux OS

Post by ant_8490 »

We are in the process of getting a new server installed and reinstalling everything on a newer Linux OS. Valve updated TF2 a few weeks ago (64bit update) which now requires a newer GLibc version than what our outdated OS provides. We have been using CentOS since we started running our servers on Linux and now will be changing to the latest version of Debian.

Although this only affected TF2 for now, if Valve decides to update HL2DM as well to match, we would rather take the time now to upgrade and be prepared to future requirements. This will also allow us to run CS2 dedicated servers properly (if real community servers ever become a thing).

Anyway, some parts of the website or certain servers might be offline while we get everything reinstalled and configured.
