I had made a topic about it already, so let's see if it changed.

You have been chosen to participate to a test.

Seba, choose Ubuntu, don't waste my time.

For me, I chose Windows 8.1. It runs everything Windows 7 did at either equal speed or faster. Starts up and shuts down way faster. No compatibility issues for me (runs everything I used to use on Windows 7 or Vista or XP).

I almost never use or even see the metro/tile start screen, so its basically a Windows 7 experience with some minor tweaks and improvements.

Quite honestly Demon, Windows 8 isn't all that weird or bad. I watched a single video on how to navigate and how to do various things and was able to go straight into using it pretty easily. If there is any folder or directory I can't figure out how to go to I can just search for it.

It was quite a pleasant transition :p.

I want to open cmd.exe.

Windows 7: Press Windows Key, enter "cmd", press Enter - Time needed: < 1 sec
Windows 8: Press CTRL+F, enter "cmd", find the correct icon, click on it - Time needed: > 5 secs

Same number of steps as Windows 7.

Windows 8.1 with the start button. Just get "startisback" for windows 8.1, makes it just like windows 7, just better with more features.
