I tried out the 8.1 preview and its fine. It starts up at the desktop and ill never even have to see the metro ui for regular use. Besides, based on benchmarks, BF4 will run slightly better (higher FPS) on 8.1. Worst case, i will just buy Windows 7 Pro, but ill give 8.1 a shot first.
