To keep players longer

Why don't we change the length of map from 45 mins to I say 30 mins?
I played today but people don't really stay very long on the server these days,don't they?
I think 45 minutes is kinda long so people might feel bored.
It's like one moment you have 15 players then it goes down to like 6 players in next 5 mins or so :/

The best thing to do is to alternate the time depending on the map lengths:

deathrun_sewers is short, so 30 min is good.

deathrun_deluxe is long, so 45 min is good.

RTV's happen way before the maplimit most of the time anyway, so changing this option wont really do anything

I suggested this because I just played about 3 maps for full 45 mins recently.
These are the maps you usually play for full length.. deserted,mine craft_pyramid,allstars,hot desert
And these are the maps you usually lose players.
They do rtv very fast when these maps are not on.
I don't know what the good solution is.

You should do something so those overplayed maps stop being nominated.

What they do is select 15 maps and rtv very quickly so they can play the overplay maps again.

Because they like them.
That doesn't mean they stay for 45 mins so that was my point.
All dm/bhop lovers nominate those and they get bored by losing to some pros.
It might not make so much of a change but we can definitely play more maps in shorter time.

As Aya said I should play more, I think I have power to bring back some of the players back to the server, just by being in the server another random player could see the server and say oh look this server has 16/32 players, I'll join and see what's it like, if you be kind you nice players and give them enough help they will want to stay.
By being active you will make your friends look at you and say oh look this guy/girl spends so long on this game maybe it's awesome? Imma leave CS:S and play some HL2:DM!
Just stay in the servers even if it's boring, you never know? maybe some stranger will join and you will create friendship and he may ask his friends to come join him in the server.

It's not about being nice or not right now.
I even hesitate banning Russian dudes these days because they bring all friends they have.
I even became friends with them lol
I think we need new maps with many endings.
Simple maps with 1 ending won't keep players for long.
I like old dr maps but puzzle maps keep players so we might need more of those:/
And we need Demon!

I personaly do not like the new allstarrs 3 i liked allstars and allstars 2 bes, was more fun, better music, could BLOW UP THE MAP (most fun part) and i ment no offence to the creator of it, just my 2 points.
