What do you guys think about Japan won bid to host the 2020 Olympics .-.
Only reason we won is our stupid government decided to spend hell a lot of money for it.
I can get to Tokyo in 1.5hours but I don't even go there anymore since most foods there are radiated.
We don't have 24 hours train system and I wonder how Tokyo is going to hold so many people since it's already so crowded.
Right now consumption tax is 5% and will be 8% from next year April..most likely they will rase one more time till 2020 because there's no money in Japan.
Istanbul and Madrid were much better ..
Anyone wanna visit Japan for it?!

No...Personally, Istanbul would have been the best choice.They're poor, yes, and there's some violence there, but some attention from the world could help them...Like donations, money, etc...And personally, I find Istanbul very beautiful (Not saying Tokyo isn't).

But...I don't like the idea either.
Like you said, food is probably irradiated, and from what I've heard there's some helluva pollution back there in some neighborhoods.Plus, it's densely populated, and you made a point.If it can barely hold its local population, how will they with tourists ? Improve things in a few years ? I doubt it.

So yes I agree with you, it was a bad decision, no offense, I'd visit japan with pleasure if it was to see Mt Fuji or ancestral temples, but tokyo :/ .Not for now.Olympics is a pretty bad season to go visit a country.Everything's new, there's tourists everywhere, even more than locals sometimes so...No.
