Now after being back after a hard drive failure, I am now confused as fucking ever. The only sites I visited was the Minecraft.net for the minecraft game itself (legitly bought), Youtube (for music), Area51 forums (obviously), and the Convict Gaming forums (as I was admin and am still getting my admin back after returning my activity). Now it may not have been a virus and only a hardware failure, or it was a virus and it caused this failure. Another thing is that I downloaded Team Speak 3, but only that is virus-free as well. So YouTube may have been the problem.

So, what c an I not trust? I mean, how would I know if something site would contain a virus??? This shit is weird now. Note- this happend after I uninstalled Norton Security, because they suck haaaaard.

Get a better antivirus. Your HDD could've failed just because it can though.

Well, I used MSE for a long time and I never entercountered a problem like this, but I didn't have MSE installed before this problem came about.


And the Hard Drive can just fail for no reason? If so, that may have been the problem with my laptop. Got a 500gb replacement but still, can I trust redownloading Minecraft, Team Speak 3 and still visit the forums without virus shit?

I am also aware that Area51 has a TS server. Don't know if it is still used anymore or not...

Well, I got my laptop before freshman-year started, and I am a junior, so it was like 2010-2011.

But I am still needing this shit answered above, besides "better anti-virus" since microsoft security essentials was my best, and to be honest, I don't trust the other programs myself, cuz I be too virus-paranoid
