Just an idea that passed thru ma head.
What about to melt deathrun and puzzle in one map ?
We all start with gravity guns, combines and rebels, we have some traps, we play dr normally, but at some times where respawn is enabled, we have to build (Combines AND rebels at the same time) the quicker we can a bridge or something like that to pass through a "puzzle" part of the map.
The quicker team get the advantage on the other, as it can run to the end/Prepare traps.
I've just tought of that.It would be really fun I think ! I wanted to include it in my map dr_hl_2 but I am noob with SDK, I have problems with these valve games atm and I don't have much time for me.
So it was just to give an idea to our fellow, almight and flawless mappers
But hey dawg I want 2 be in the credits :3

Death runs usually played with 3 combines at max right?
Puzzle is usually played with an even team (7vs7 8vs8 5vs5) right?
So then... There is something I'm missing? Someone help me put all the info together ?

But in my opinion ..combines always have to be at the Buttons. Or just be able to be at the Button with No problems.
Maybe only rebels have to make a puzzle (build a Box Bridge) to pass a trap (without a Button there )

There's no way combine and rebels are on same numbers of people at the middle of the map.
If that happens then only 3rebels get to do puzzle?
Bad idea in my opinion too.

I dig my head to find an appropriate idea to make the maps better, more fun and getting more players in, and all I harvest is a bunch or indiferent noes without more explaining.
At least explain why you say it's a bad idea...
And try to understand : As respawn would be enabled on the puzzle zone, even with combines having to do the puzzle too, they wouldn't be desadvanteged and their amount would stay the same.
Otherwise, yes, if that cannot work, only rebels making puzzles to avoid traps OR to avoid a "puzzle area" where respawn is enabled.
And only for SOME maps, not for all !

You should learn the differences between disagreement and criticism.
We're just disagreeing and not criticizing.
Personally,I want more basic maps like steam_works.
How about this?
This might be too much of work(I have no idea) but put together some old/underplayed maps.
Like make more of 'randomonium' kind of maps.
Like put reborn/arduous/bridge/sewers all in one and choose it randomly.
I like those maps but never get to play because people tend to choose overplayed/popular maps.

They said French people are the most sensitive people in the world and a lot of them take disagreement as rejection lol

Also what about map packs? Your random maps idea is nice... and it remembere dme of crash team racing on the ps1, where you could pick a preset map pack to play on.
This would make underused maps more used.
(players overly playing the same maps too often lead to desertion of some others)
