Sup all :-D
I was wondering this from before.
I see some dm servers have bots.
Is it possible to set a bot on dr server when it's having the downtime?
Like set 1bot on combine when there's under 5players are on or something?

What would the bots do? pressing buttons? xD
Keep in mind that what i say is not static, it is dynamic.
Years, months, weeks, and days after i say something, i can say the opposite.

There are no good bots out there and even if there was, then they would only be good at dm and nothing else. Adding a bot would basically be adding a afk player.

I saw a sm plugin for bots to mimic pre-recorded player movments. So let's say... How about doing rebel bots instead?

Wouldn't we have to pre-record player movements for every map so he doesn't spaz out walking into a wall?

Adding a rebel bot..hmmm
I thought this idea because of so people would play even alone.
Also no one really wanna join combine when there's only few rebels.

well... it indeed would have to be done like this... other great idea would be fake players... like i mean... lets say PlayerOne joins, plays through the map. PlayerTwo also joins and plays through the map. PlayersThree joins, plays, but dies. PlayerOne disconnects in the middle of the game.
Only PlayerTwo's movements would be recorded and out of all the recordings, there is a chance that bot with their name will join and the bot will mimic a random movement of PlayerTwo.

I think you should understand what i mean.

This is not possible... Way too complex to teach a combine bot to press buttons (and at the right times)

Ant's right...And even if it was possible, bots don't offer the same experience as if playing with humans.Their not friendly, they don't talk, they're not funny and they play badly.So I would be against it.
But as I believe that this measure was intended to bring more players, it's nice of you, but I believe that we could just start do this : http://www.area51cheatserver.com/forums ... =17&t=5186.It was a great idea :D .

if rebel bots definatly suld do a rex bot maby name it [GR]Nighmare-Bot{NA}. and have both pros and noobs do recordings so realistic.

Better idea:
I would rather use my time more wisely to create new maps and mods for the server so that its never empty, instead of using time to make a temp solution such as bots.

I'm currently converting and another map, and nick and I are still working on other additions for the server.
