What's the purpose for this forum?

I wanted to ask this mainly to the owners in last few days.
I think it's important for us to know so it could be a little more "organized".

Which one is the closest to you guys purpose of making this forum?
1. Just to know about what's going on in the server or new ideas for the server.
2. 1 and for communication between players.

I see same people are trying to "close" topics by the exact same sentences every time.
Like Nod for an example lol
He always says 'This thread is going off topic,just close it.' or 'This thread was basically fucking dumb.' or 'Fucking 5pages in 2days' or something like that.

For you Ant to see people are going on 5,6pages is annoying?
If it's annoying,is that because ..
1. Kids are crying and fighting back at each other on&on&on. (Well this is one of the reason for sure tho)
2. People are having a chit chat. Nothing stupid,nothing useless or something completely unnecessary like 1.

I think it's important for us to know what's the definition of "Random topics". lol
Random could be random,doesn't it?
That dm thread was stupid but I don't think it's necessary to say 'close it already' every time it goes on pages and pages if people are actually still talking.
I would say 'Just stop reading it?' if you think it's "stupid".
Because you are not forced to read it all.

Personally I like to have conversations with people on here.
I might go off topic or I might go too long sometimes.
So if what you guys(owners) want this forum to be a bit more "professional like" then I'd like to know.
So I or we can stick to the point.(Talk only about the server.)

Other part of the forums can be "offtopicked" sometimes, but not too hardly.I'm also against the "thread closing" diplomacy.This is supposed to be random, so let it open until people get bored about it...And if 'derail' or 'offtopic', like Aya said, that shouldn't be a reason to close it, because it's random.

From my point of view, the other parts of the forum have to stay 'professional' : Offtopic is allowed, but not too much.This part must be for all-day subjects, fun or ocmmunication.
And yes, I like this forum because :

Agree with you Aya. Of course it's ok to close topics if they're too stupid, like the ban request on me, which was going on&on&on, reason being that a kid (being Goomba) was crying about something stupid. On the other side, as you also mentioned, people doesn't have to read the topics, they could just leave them alone.

Skimming over everyones post, as well as the main point itself mostly due to me being in a "fuck everyone" mood today, I will answer the this topics main question, why do we have a part of the forum for Random Topics
I seem something about "professionalism" Aya's post.
That made me laugh too much, Its a damn game servers forum, were I've been under the impression everyone here is near batshit sence I've used the forum. Professionalism is long gone, nor a necessity.
Even then, most forums that consider themselfs "Professional" have an area for Random Topics of, anything, going with the word Random..
I also seen you saying something about everyone wanting to Close a topic when something as gone off track, sometimes on other areas of the Forum (I.E The Deathrun forum) Sometimes calling a something to be off topic is..helpful.
While for topics here, I believe that a topics fate should be decided by Ant, once he thinks that, whatever topic has finally hit rock-bottom and is time to be over, It should be closed.
though I am with Aya at the point were the "just don't read it comes in" As like I said before, It should be Ants choice. That's my finale opinion, if any

Mainly 1. Best communication is done in steam, but PMs work also.

Again, 1. I dont mind having a topic go on for 5+ pages as long as it stays somewhat on topic and is not just continuing with a string of memes or internet phrases.

The random topic is exactly as the name suggests. Completely random, and unrelated to the servers. However, the posts within each topic should remain connected to the original starting topic. Random doesnt mean post anything anywhere. It just means you can start a non-server related thought, but unrelated thoughts should be in separate topics.
