Steam is countinously verifying my game cache files each time I want to start it.
I log into Steam, launch game, verifying game cache.
Or when I quit the game, and later want to play it (not quiting Steam though), it does it again, it never stops.
is there anyway stopping this gay shit?

The overlay has been spazzy for me lately, But I haven't seen it verifying all the time lately.

The worst thing that can happen is: you have to hurry to go in hl2 because you have no more time to play, then, verify cache, then your steam crashes for no fucking apparent reason, but... You have to do the game cache again.
But it didn't happen to me "alot" these days...
Keep in mind that what i say is not static, it is dynamic.
Years, months, weeks, and days after i say something, i can say the opposite.

It really annoys me because when I am mapping and want to test my map, I have to quit SDK so it checks my game.

Wait what? You don't have to quit SDK to test your maps...

Had the same problem, bought a new PC...fixed^^

Old PC was shit around 25fps at lowest settings, so i bought a new pc. It wasn't because of the problem, was just in need for a new pc;D

I haz those days too. My fingers become too lazy to work properly.
My pc runs certain maps 25-30 on lowest settings.
Like minecraft_pyramid, get about 25 in spawn area

YET I didn't have that problem on old PC but I bought a new one and it happens sometimes ;o
