PS3 or Xbox ?

Hi everyone, I'm going to buy a console in the upcoming weeks along with a plasma TV screen.
I will not quit PC and HL² DM but as buying this stuff costs less than paying an "update" fro my computer to be "gamer computer" and play new games, I am hesitating between buying a PS3 or a Xbox.
I had some advices but I'd like to have yours please.I saw a thing to put at the console key port, a keyboard and a mouse for playing games.Idk if it's true but if yes it will help me alot, cuz I've never played aconsole long time before.I was born with a keyboard and a mouse, or so lol.
I would like to play : Red Dead Redemption, GTA V (when it will come out) and BF3 on it.Multiplayers and campaigns.
So, I need advices : Wich one should I buy ?

PS : If someone oculd advice me about nice TV screens and audio machines, i'll be very thankful too

Wait until they release Xbox 720 or ps4 later this year. If you can't wait then go for the ps3.

Yet if you are going to play multiplayer, PS3, as PSN account is free while you gotta pay monies for xbox live gold membership which is required for multiplayer. Yet stuff may change when x720 and ps4 will come out so you shall wait.

EDIT: There's a lot of ps3 exclusive games like Heavy Rain, Uncharted series...

Wait for the ending of June. Xbox 720 will be announced on E3.
If you got skillz and likes playing online then buy an Xbox.
If you a kid who can't afford Xbox Live and likes brightness, then buy a Ps

Simply cuz it will be high priced and many of the games I want to play to won't come on any next gen console.

Yet stuff may change when x720 and ps4 will come out so you shall wait.

Xbox360 doesn't have: Wlan, bluray and free online play, but ps3 has all of that. So I am not wasting more time here, go for ps3 or be dumb your choice. And buying a new generation high priced console is totally worth it since they have a long lifetime 5-6 years aprox.

Travis u might think of the old X360?
The new one got Wlan and works perfectly fine.
The online part is working better on the Xbox as well. - Who cares about Bluray? It pretty much a fail. Could and should have replaced the DVD, but the hype about BluRay is gone.

Please notice the shadow difference between the ps3 and Xbox. Also the smoke effects, blood and explosions. (0.27) look at the explosion in the background.

Imo the high brightness on Ps looks stupid and often i think the loading time is way longer than on Xbox.

I like how they used 1 game to show it all, Wasn't any huge difference anywhere so unless your
super picky about absolutely everything, there's no difference

it was what, 15-25ish seconds more? And you'd be in-game for how long? Unless you time matters That much to you...

If your going to do alot of online stuff I'd recommend ps3 as it has free online play
If your not planning on doing any/much online play you can consider xbox360

But I'd also wait to see what the new consoles are like.

Ok SORRY to dig out the thread, but...I'd like to want your advice : I'm mostly going to play BF3 and Red Dead Redemption on my PS3/Xbox : I will play GTA V too but we can't say on wich console his graphics will be the best as it didn't came out yet.
So as my YouTube quality is total shit, I'd like to know, between PS3 and Xbox, wich one will make appear more beautiful BF3/Red Dead Redemption, if someone of you guys have ever played one of thoses two games...

My criters :
I don't like when It is too bright.
I don't like when it is too dark.
I like it immersive and realistic as hell !

I saw some converters keyboard+mouse replacing play sticks on consoles, I would like to know how it works, etc etc please.
