Deatrun trap and ending ideas

I decided to make a map (And actually finish it this time) and I want traps that are different from each other.
(I don't want 5 traps in a row that do the same thing)
And making them up isn't very easy, So I thought I'd come here for outside ideas.

I put this here rather than SDK section because
1. more people will see it (I no lie.)
2. It's not so much about mapping as ideas.

I hope this will help other mappers as well as me.

*If I use your trap idea your name will be put into the map...Somewhere :3*

There's lots of general ideas like a choose r or l trap, teleports, and breaking floors.
But as far as creative goes..
  • Probobly some laz0rz traps (any kind)
    Maybe a big block that when activated smashes down on them rebels
    And some fans wouldn't hurt, they would only smash the poor rebels brains on the floors :)

Logic_case, randomize: explain>>>

You have a grid of death blocks, one of them is enabled and appears. When a logic_timer arrives on thick, refire the logic_case, and choose a random block to activate and deactivated every other blocks.

Sounds like a good idea? (if you do don't add my name to the map pls)
Keep in mind that what i say is not static, it is dynamic.
Years, months, weeks, and days after i say something, i can say the opposite.

Logic_cases tend to be retarded if not used correctly.

I honestly don't really use that, but shouldn't be hard to do at all.

I have some that I had planned for my incoming map,but lack of time,lack of skill in SDK ,and "competition" there made it delayed for several months/will never be done.
So here are some of my ideas : I won't say it all but the most important will be there :

A manhack-stuffed crate who explodes when the trap is activated (Two walls will get the player in till he dies).Then,the crate explode,the manhack comes out with a script,and "automatic damage" will be activated,as this,manhack flying around+manhack sound+auto damage in this zone during the time,100hp-70hp-40hp-20hp-10hp-Die.

A sort of...Nah sorry broh,this one is too creative,I'll keep it in safe but if I see that I will never be able to make my map then I will show it.

A strider who's sitting by his three legs,when the trap is activated,he fires a laser who make a zone explode : Fast dead.

An heli-like trap where :
1-He simply fires a laser,like the strider one.
2-A script,or other SDK-Hammer editor tip make it go down,then with his propellers he hack and slash the poor rebels (Make a lot of blood there btw).

A gun trap : When the trap is activated,the player is pushed in a pit where dozens of combine models (MODELS only,ik that AI isn't possible in deathrun) are sitting next a combine machinegun who would fire till the player dies,dark,red lights,and alot of dead rebels bodies and blood suggested.

An headcrab rocket trap.

A glass-breaking trap (Glass pieces projected cut the rebels throats).

I have some more but I'm kind of busy right now.I'll tell them later.

You can just open deathrun_combine in sdk.

Well,a simple "Thanks to John Freeman for some traps idea", somewhere in the map,not like if I was the mapper or the co-creator,but not very hidden neither (If you put my traps in your map).

Otherwise for help in SDK/Hammer, you can either ask to some good mappers like Goomba,Demon,Travis,Myback or Nick, or you can go watch and read the Demon's links in his tutorial in the SDK Section of the forums.I would like to give you a link, but well I'm late so...

OOOOh,
Like the floor gets red and if a rebel stands there when it gets red, he will be teleported in an area and it will sing Friday, and after 10 seconds they will die cause their EARS WOULD EXPLOAD!
