what happened to all the people?

Competition started and drove all the newbies who populate the server out, causing the servers drop in population.

On topic: It's one slay man, chill. From the way Demon puts it you spun it out of context. I really don't think he would openly
abuse admin and slay someone at a time it would make a difference, he's not THAT dumb... :3
Though I wasn't present at the time so my input means as much as that puddle over there...

I started to play in the server again, noticing it is fairly close to death.... what happened to all the people? Well most I have met say theres lots of bad admins. Shortly after playing today and right after killing demonX ( he was on combine ) he decided to slay me. Check the logs ... 12/8/2012 at around 5:30 EST Time... Clear admin abuse and yeah I left the server and went to a different one because of stupid stuff like this. Just because your angry I killed you doesn't mean you need to abuse admin to slay me for no reason. Whoever gave this guy admin is a fucking idiot.

1. The server is not dead. If it was there would be 0 players. Still a bunch on the weekend, and actually, HL2DM in general is going down in popularity. Anyway, i really dont see the difference since i will be running the server until HL2 is completely dead, so it doesnt matter to me.
2. How does being slayed affect your gameplay after the round is over and you are about to be respawned anyway?
3. Useless report. I checked the logs and theres no obvious signs of abuse. Maybe YOU need to chill out and stop mic spamming/harassing, or just go find another server to play on. My servers dont NEED you if your just playing to write reports.

Well, I can override and here are my thoughts.

I totally agree with Ant on this. I haven't seen you play on in a while as well. Well how do I know? I always check the server stats from time to time without having to go on steam. And honestly, we have done more bandwidth in the last 10 days than any 10 days taken in previous months. Secondly, hopefully you have seen my post that I'm coming back on the 19th-21th in the server full time and things will be coming back to normal if it's not already according to you. People are still playing and that's all that matters. There are trends in the amount of players in the winter/summer season.

About the admin issue, admins are allowed to slay at the end of the round (but not every time).

no invite and there was only 4 admins out of 20 players.

Earlier that day we had up to 23-24 people I think. Even when Ant was offline.
The server was low on population earlier because of Sandy, Ip changes and school/work. But now when people will soon have more freetime then we will probably hit 32 players more often!

Yes, we did indeed have about 20 people earlier. It was good because the server has finally came to life. (A proper life.)
