Server Upgrades + Hurricane Alert

During the past week and a half or so, i have dedicated a lot of time to working with Linux. This was to prepare for the switch to Linux on the C/B & Minecraft server. When the move is completed, it will have 5GB ram and should run everything a lot smoother just as it did for Deathrun.

I've tested out everything that would be running on Linux to make sure it will all work. This includes SRCDS (cheat/build) with all plugins (SM, Eventscripts, SourceOP, autobuild script converters, etc), Minecraft, TeamSpeak3, and our mail server. Everything ran fine on my test server, so I think we are ready to proceed with these changes on the real server.

Most likely this change will happen on Friday (Oct. 26) in the afternoon/night. Expect those servers to be offline for a bit as set everything back up.

After everything is complete, that will mean all Area 51 Servers will be running on Linux!

Please know that there is an incoming hurricane "Sandy" that will pretty much hit right on us. So, if anything shall happen, the server may be off due to a power outage in the local area. To an extent that the power shall be off for more than 2 hours, we will using our generator again to power the servers. The hurricane looks like it will be in our area beginning of next week.

Ant has finally got the teamspeak server to work. It should be back on gametracker soon.

Since I was having trouble in linux installing teamspeak, I also tried installing a ventrilo server which it works. So we are going to use the ventrilo as a backup/another voice server.
