1. Dont have that game.
2. Dont like CSS -> so probably wont like that.
3. Would require lots of changes to the sourcemod code.

Well you could do it for nice donation income and now that hl2dm is getting pretty old and empty. And we will never know when hl3 releases. So it is CS GO atm or the good old hl2 that won't last for long.ant_8490 wrote:1. Dont have that game.

Buying the game for 30 bucks or less isn't that much and besides that you can easilly get back that money in donations.
I'm sure you would be able to put up the server good and working in less than a week.
You should atleast try out the game before judging it.

There are like no deathrun servers out there. I've been looking for one and so far I haven't seen 1. If you find one then feel free to tell me.Stuntman0007 wrote:There's going to be 50 other deathrun servers on there...Cpt.Travis wrote:I just had an idea that you could make a CS GO deathrun server. CS GO isn't CSS so he should atleast try it out before judging it.
Intead of sitting here with no other ideas then I think Ant should really set up a CS GO server. Nothing to lose on it. Holding to hl2dm is a mistake. The server is far less populated then it used to because of school/work and because the game itself is really old.
So what is it gonna be hl2dm which is really empty or go to the next level with one of the first CS GO deathrun server?

Hl2dm isn't a mistake.
I would sincerly love to see new super nintendo games coming out, but oups!
Everyone must change everything.
Age of empires 1 was nice, 2 was nice, then, 3, a disaster i regreat buying age of empires III.
Always moving because it's "DEAD" like you say, is just worst. I hate updates, and i hate big changes. And so do some other people.
Don't kill an old man because he's living too long.
Btw, CSS is better than ft2, but i don't like CSS.
Also, we don't need to be an artist to critic something.
Keep in mind that what i say is not static, it is dynamic.
Years, months, weeks, and days after i say something, i can say the opposite.

I'm not trying to say that Ant should shut down his hl2dm servers, I'm just trying to say that he should think about other deathrun ideas to other games like CS GO. Holding on to only half life 2 is a mistake.po0ka wrote:EXCUSE ME?Cpt.Travis wrote:Holding to hl2dm is a mistake. I like old games too, but when they become dead and when you are the only guy left in a server then yeah you know.

I don't know any CS GO dr servers.
But even CSS dr server which I go have at least 10people pretty much 24/7.

I'm sure they'll come up soon.Cpt.Travis wrote:I just had an idea that you could make a CS GO deathrun server.
Also, I don't think Ant and/or Nick would want to take the time to code it...

Travis, why don't you start yourself a CS GO server?

We are staying with hl2dm. Our computers (laptops) can't run the new games. When I come back when the semester is over or when the workload is low, I will continue adding stuff to the deathrun.

Re: CS GO deathrun
I know you're referring to DR servers but neither Nick or Ant are holding just to HL2. Did you know there's a TF2 server with a side order of MineCraft server? Most everyone recognizes A51 from HL2DM but they are branching out to more popular games (Case in point: best selling indie game and most played f2p game on Steam)Cpt.Travis wrote: I'm not trying to say that Ant should shut down his hl2dm servers, I'm just trying to say that he should think about other deathrun ideas to other games like CS GO.
