how long can a script be?

Okay... my longest script is like 9 kb... i use more than one script for longer ones. as far as i know, smallest possible delay to a loop would be 0.001. and dont fire all codes inside a loop.. try to create more loops with same delay. also lua is used in gmod aswell for addons.. can be used for scripting but i never rly tried it.

The size of the script also depends also how many "waits" you have in it.

indeed but its easier to look through smaller files and edit them than just a big one

Scripts executed using my public testscripts plugin have a maximum size of 2 GB.
