Proposing a Server Change

I have an idea that might make everyone happy and excited to play on the Minecraft server. Lately i have found that people are glitching pistons/blocks to duplicate items such as diamonds. Why would people duplicate diamonds? Obviously to get money and then buy items.

What if the server was no longer based on a money system? You could get unlimited items, and the only thing limiting you would be your creativity. Of course, there would still be towns and plots for protection. Towns would be free to start as well as plots, but if you intent to make large towns, players would still have to group together (16 town blocks per resident). I think this concept would allow everyone to build really cool structures and for towns to expand.

Basically, its like limited "creative mode" for everyone. Is this something you guys may be interested in?

hmmmm, you should have a rank system depending on the "building level" of that player, rank one is hand built rank two is fly mode, rank three is like world edit! this could totally work ;P

Guys... not creative mode. There will never be flying allowed. I'm talking about having free building materials --> Go to shop, pick up supplies (stacks of 64 for free), go back to town a build. Everything else on the server, such as using towny for build protection wouldnt change (except for the fact that town blocks would be free most likely).

Oh... Maybe I'll have to start a new town myself. But then again, Alathar better give me plots

So what I am understanding is, every single thing in the shop is FREE, so you can make your own thing for free, like a house out of diamonds or some shit? If so, then hell yes, bring it. The server is just for building anyways, not for the pvp n shit.

My old server was kinda like that. Back then, there was no creative mode but nearly everyone had the /give command. Was fun.

Only the damn kids would build their homes out of Diamond and say "OMG, LOOK!!! ITS DIAMUND! "
