The only way you can remove the hud is to create a demo file. Then when you play the demo file (it's like going into your own server), you can put sv_cheats 1 and disable huds. I forgot the command to do that...

Fraps doesn't record anything in hl. The FPS counter doesn't show up either . But in other programs like aae it shows up in the preview
