Hey, boys. I got a question for nick and any others who can help me out. I don't give a shit about other sites, as in, NO I won't ask for help there.
1 of my USB ports does not work and whenever I plug someshit in, such as a Mouse or Headset, it makes a sound as if it WAS detected. My mouse Lazor comes on but the mouse itself isn't operational. As in, it won't move the mouse cursor whenever I move the Mouse itself. It gives it power to the Plugged-in device but it will not work...don't know why. IT happend after I unplugged the Headset to play some PS3-Online.
Don't tell me to post this somewhere else such as...whereever, WHAT else can I post it in? If you can help me out, I'd appriciate it. Anyone can help as long as they actually can give me helpful info.
Thanks, Brahs.

My old mouse did this, it was broken.Brotherhood Of Nod wrote:My mouse Lazor comes on but the mouse itself isn't operational. As in, it won't move the mouse cursor whenever I move the Mouse itself. It gives it power to the Plugged-in device but it will not work...don't know why.

Yep, check if the computer has the drivers for the mouse/headset. When you buy a mouse, it usually has a CD to install the drivers, but sometimes the computer recognizes it on its own. If you don't have the CD, go to the company's website (Ex. Logitech), I'm sure they give out the drivers.
Logitech support: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support-downloads
It also may be because its not a primary device, go to start->search->type mouse. Check out the settings there. Type in sound to check out the sound settings for the primary device.

Re: GateWay USB Port dun work
Not sure if I mentioned it, but this has never happend before. This has JUST happend today. This port always allowed Devices in, but today it doesn't work anymore. Yes, the USB port and both the mouse & the Headset has the matching symbols.
I was looking around and whenever I plug-in my Headset & Mouse into the first USB port, it works. The C-Media USB Headphone Set shows up in the Sound Menu and Mixer, but not when I plug it in the second USB Port.
I think this may be a thing that happens, but the Headset doesn't play sounds, but the mic MAY work on it. Just a thing I may have discovered.
I remove the Headset (Obviously not forcefully) whenever the Laptop is off and I want to play some CoD (Don't judge me, I gotta get something done on there) and when I am done, I just slip the USB back into the computer and start 'er up.
There should be no option in replacing the Ports because this is a laptop, not a fucking PC. I am not technical with this type of stuff but I may get around. This is something I never have before experienced.

Re: GateWay USB Port dun work
Also, the Headset did show but after it did, I tried doing a Playback on the Headset, my computer made a faint-to-fucking loud sound. Quickly turning off the Volume, I set the Playback to Default and that eery shit didn't sound again. I am guessing its my USB Port that the USB shit won't work in, it may be broke...
Fuck me if I have to replace my laptop.
