Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Post by ant_8490 »

Has anyone tried it? I installed it yesterday and there's plenty of cool new features but also a lot of drawbacks (mainly just trying to find where everything is now). And the Start button is gone?!?! Its been there since windows 95, so idk if that was such a great move for Microsoft. What do you guys think?

Yea, it's kinda weird. I liked the start button and now it just opens that weirdo interface :l
It's fast and stable tho.

Yeah seems good for touchscreens, but I don't think there would be any
PC user or business wanting to upgrade like they wanted to for windows 7. Atleast, not with the way it is now.

Yep, seems to be for touch. Maybe they should make that toggle-able.

Well, doesnt look much different, except for the touch-weirdo-menu.

I don't wanna try it. I have that Metro design on my Xbox and i don't think it will look good on a PC. But i'll miss the start button :(
