I disagree with this idea, it's kinda good and bad.

Good because it would make the server more (IDK How to say this) less trollable... (LOL)

Bad because if you had a server would you really trust someone to have an /pban command, maybe he will go mad and do this

/pban @all

I understand what you mean Jake, but I really think that some, or most admins are not ready for this command.

You must be new here, you can't use @all or @aim on ban commands.

@Black-Out. The Thread is Called "Co-Owner" not admin.
I want an online co-owner that is active, who can take control when we really need it.

Ant and I are probably one of the most involved owners in any source game server. You guys have no idea as to how much we make sure everything is updated and working properly.

I turn down the co-owner idea. No point to it as one of us is on almost everyday most of the time.

Examples? What would you want a co-owner to do? Give me an example and ill let you know if they would physically be able to do it, being that most server-related operations require access to rcon or ftp. Both of which are blocked to local access only.

You guys live in the same house-hold, therefore, there are times when both of you won't be there.
Also, permban access on the fly can be extremely useful. Remember Blake restarting the server every time I banned him? Situations like that.
A position like Head-Admin or whatever would mostly just be a figurehead, as, like you said, everything else is local access. Maybe giving them access to managing plugins? Load/unload. I don't see why anyone would really need those commands though.
An actually pretty cool idea could be giving them access to a control panel on the website, (could use login cookies to check if they have permission to the panel... Or just user and pass input.) which allows them to stop/start/restart/change map/etc. on both servers from anywhere, instead of resorting to that one page where everyone has to be off the server to restart it... Which is a pain in the ass if everyone doesn't time out, and you can't join.
Head-admin could also manage the forums, but as both of you guys are against that, I'm not even going to bother going any further.

So yeah... I've always seen permban access as more of a trusted admin thing, not really Head-Admin. But the control panel thing would be pretty cool.

There is no web admin panel for the deathrun because it never has to be reset. It generally stays on for weeks at a time before finally crashing then auto-restarting.

or just have reg admins and root admins. Roots can have like add ban, dont need to be on as much but has to come on when someone asks for u on the server. Just ideas running around but i do like the idea of ranked admin (just an idea of mine).
