Yes, Area 51 is a secret military base out in the desert. So back in the day, we only had the cheat/build server, in which you can build, test scripts, and experiment with different source entities. Just like they test new top-secret technology at Area 51.

The military has no such base named "Area51" you might be referring to Edwards Air Force base right?

I just watched a show on this actually. They dont list it as a base because technically it "doesnt exist" from their perspective. Its that secret, that they dont even recognize it.
