Re: Server Atmospherical Shift
So about the whole server atmosphere thing, is there an overwhelmingly majority who agree with a certain style of server? Are we going to do anything about it?
I personally would like to see a more relaxed server atmosphere where as long as you don't threaten, spam, or harrass players, that people can govern themselves. If someone is being extra bitchy, let everyone ostracize that person, let people handle their disagreements and trash talk.

If you feel that an admin reacted too strict, please report it directly to be in steam or as a PM. For all other cases of abuse, make the usual report on the forums.

I don't really see whats fun with trash talking other people, but anyhow I don't really care if a player trash talks some1 else. Unless some1 passes a line where he actually starts to harras that spesific player. The problem with you Caleb and your friend Swagga is if I tell you to leave it then you simply just continue. That's one of the few actions you interact wrong at, if an admin tells you to leave it then you simply leave it. My decition are usually based on what the other players says, if mostly of them find you really annoying trash talking the shit out of some random person then I will start off by telling you to leave it, if you don't then you will get muted.caleb wrote:So about the whole server atmosphere thing, is there an overwhelmingly majority who agree with a certain style of server? Ant have told us admins to keep as many people in the server as possible, but if people doesn't like playing because of your trash talkings goes too far then I will have to go with their decition.
It's all about keeping it to the right amount so people doesn't start hating you.
Some of the newer admins aren't fully experienced on how to handle a situation correctly yet, but they just need more time to get their head in the adminning game.

Trash talking is fine... to an extent. Then it is just harassment. Im talking about single comments made toward someone. Stuff like that shouldnt be considered at all by admins. But yes, if someone's carrying on for long periods of time about something, to the point where everyone in the server is getting annoyed at them, then it would be time for an admin to do something about it.Cpt.Travis wrote:I don't really see whats fun with trash talking other people, but anyhow I don't really care if a player trash talks some1 else. Re: Server Atmospherical Shift
Travis, in a round-a-bout way, I completely agree. The only problem with your statement, is that swagga and I have never even come close to harrassing anyone. Especially by the definition of harrassment that you just explained. The only thing(s) that we have continually talked about while in the server was talking to an admin about why they did something. We have NEVER explicitly, and continually spoken trash talk of any sort to any player, ever. Like I said, I'm in agreeance with you in terms of it becoming too much and the admin has to take action, but other than our very first encounter with other, I have completely agreed with your administrating in the server, so I definitely think we see eye to eye here. But my point is the only thing that swagga and I have done is questioned the admins in-game about why they did something, in no way patronizing them, or trash talking them, just questioning.

Wow. Well, I played briefly about 8 months ago, and I notice it is actually a bit different from it is now. However, it still isn't bad. Kids, just don't be dicks.
