Ok well this doesnt mean im not going to stop getting on cheat spawn. i will. i just want to set up a source dedicated server so that people can play that while I play cheat spawn server and make sure this is nothing wrong :D

Problems: like my UDP port is something like 1051 or something just the number that pops up when i open my dedicated server thing. but it ALWAYS goes to lan! even if i have it set to internet! some people have been saying that its cause i have a wireless hokked up. (NETGEAR wireless router) so can you please help guys! :D

default port is UDP 27015, u have to port forward it on ur router settings. try Google: netgear port forwarding

I tryed to make a server to, but sometimes it was working.
And sometimes it was failing, so i stopped my project.
I had a 20 mb/s download and 8 mb/s upload line, so that wasnt the problem.
Maybe you could help me to, Ant.

Port forwarding is definitely the most common problem for most people.

K im check that out. hopefully that wont require a password and username for NETGEAR cause my sister maid her own password and username on there :evil:

Eh. Guess i will just have to hack my way into my sisters netgear. cause shes being a complete loser about it and wont let me access it. and my mom is not caring. so time to hack my way in. hope it really messes up her netgear.

I tried to portforward in 2 years.. soo. never worked..
Used alot of info on Google
i do everything correct but it wont be online.
