Fix Laggy Trails

The trails, albeit cool, are lagging the game alot. If there is anything you can do to try and fix, it would be great. Also, off topic question, when do you think you will open admin again?

The game was created in 2004, so its not at all graphics-intensive. If you lagging cuz of the trails.... then idk, really need a better graphics card then. I play fine on my laptop which only has 128mb dedicated graphics.

Ant, my Graphics Card is fine, same goes for my CPU, I have 512MB dedicated memory to my GPU and it runs Crysis 2... right. These trails are horribly optimized, try removing the smoke from the fire and all lag should go away, cause IDK, extreme particles lag my game.

I'm also lagging by those trails, I'm running 3d mark vantage with 35000 points, BF3 with 50-60+ fps on full graphics at full HD with AA and AF, but when it comes to those trails I lag. Can't you just remove the core trail + the fire trail and add other fancy trails that are better optimized instead?
They are ruining my gameplay and alot of the other people in the servers gameplay.

Vid card: Gtx 560ti x2 (sli)
i7 2600k oc'd to 4.4 ghz
8 gb ram at 1600 mhz

Yea, I have an almost brand new computer, got it about 3/4 a year ago, and I recently upgraded the graphics card. And it isn't my problem really either, other people are always complaining about it. Thanks though, ant.

It's stuck at 300+ all the time, it doesn't show more. When I'm stacked at the trails then it drops down to 60-100fps.
