Hey, nick.

I see that towny got new features like: unclaim removals and plot reverting.
They weren't there before (Before I left too chillax ofc), can you turn those "new" features off since they just make the gameplay lamer. it literally deletes every chests, doors, pressure plates, redstone dust, redstone repeaters, redstone torches, torches, and signs from the unclaimed plot and removes any work done on it by reverting the land to its world seed one...

Since, lets say, I want to make a square with mid empty then just encase it, it will remove everything inside it and revert it to as it was when world was first started (world seed).

I found some commands:
Reverting unclaimed townblocks to their original state on unclaim
When a town plot is unclaimed (by a player or through upkeep) it will slowly begin to revert to a pre town state. Blocks will slowly change back to whatever blocks we're present at the moment the town block was claimed. A townblock must revert completely before the snapshot of the townblock is removed. If townblock is reclaimed mid-revert, a new snapshot is not taken and if the townblock is unclaimed again it will revert to the original snapshot.

Disabling this feature is done in the towny\data\worlds\worldname.txt @ usingPlotManagementRevert=false
Disabling this feature for new worlds is done in the config at new_world_settings.plot_management.revert_on_unclaim.enabled

You can configure certain block types you don't want restored to prevent players exploiting regen for diamond ores.
Block types to not restore are configured in block_ignore in the worlds txt file data/worlds/worldname.txt
Defaults for new worlds are set in the config at new_world_settings.plot_management.revert_on_unclaim.block_ignore:

Well thats the only thing that is needed, I mean, reverting stuff just because you unclaimed, come on.
I posted this because some people don't like it (including me) but are like: Its notches thing for multiplayer!. derp.

Theres tons of new features in bukkit i dont like but i try to live with them.
But a town reverter is just plain bullshit.

Reverting has been disabled.

But unclaiming parts of a town (not plots) will remove some items such as torches, redstone, etc... So if you plan on unclaiming areas of ur town, make sure you "clean up" and take any resources with you. If a mayor/player unclaims their plot (and becomes for sale again) it will only remove signs.

Thats ok if it removes non-block type items, since some people leave town without saying anything and every chest, door, furnace.. etc. is locked.

Now people can trade plots or preserve their buildings even if they are out of town :D

I have a suggestion (though it probably could be ignored). Town owners should have more powers than regular citizens and also should be able to send residents that have broke the rules to a town jail automatically (although I have no idea if there's a command for that).

Well town owners do have power over The people living there, But i do agree That there could be more power given to the town owners, like if some one owns a plot, Form what i have tryed only they can remove there plot
